Overview
Composite Energy Technologies (CET) in Bristol, RI invites applicants for full‑time Composite Technicians to support various aspects of manufacturing operations.

Employees may participate in CET’s state‑recognized Composite Technician Apprenticeship Program for levels I, II, and III.
Day in the Life / ResponsibilitiesThe technician fabricates, assembles, and finishes composite parts. Tasks include laminating, vacuum bagging, oven operation, routing, drilling, trimming, sanding, and maintaining a clean, safe job site.
The role coordinates with engineers and designers, studies technical drawings, mixes epoxy and resins, handles materials, operates hand and power tools, and records quality‑management documentation.
- Maintain a clean job site and return tools to proper locations.
- Secure the work area daily to minimize hazards.
- Handle and store all materials per product specifications.
- Follow training and quality‑assurance guidelines.
- Stop work immediately if safety or quality concerns arise, and report to supervisor.
- Document quality‑management procedures and submit paperwork to supervisor.
- Fabricate and assemble composite parts using lamination, vacuum bagging, oven operation, and finishing techniques.
- Route, drill, trim, and sand parts to match blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
No supervisory responsibilities; may work in outdoor or variable weather conditions; respirator certification may be required.
QualificationsRequired:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with hand tools.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Preferred:
- Composite experience.
- RIMTA PAT program completion.
- ACMA certified composite technician.
- Experience operating power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- OSHA 10 Safety Standards, General Industry.
- Certified forklift operator.
The job requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and lifting items that may exceed 30 pounds. Good manual dexterity is essential. Employees will be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise. The position may require work in outdoor weather conditions.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $20 per hour.

Additional InformationMust be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background check.
Position type:
Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. Occasional long hours or weekend work may be required.
