Position
Machine Operator at Victrex Manufacturing Site, Bristol, Rhode Island.
ScheduleFirst Shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Second shift (if applied) includes an additional hourly shift differential.
TrainingOnboarding training from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM for several weeks.
Responsibilities- Operate multiple processing equipment to meet production schedule.
- Set up equipment: mount tools, assemble auxiliary equipment, prepare raw materials, set up work cells (conveyors, packaging, etc.).
- Start processes: preheat tooling, load programming, start production.
- Monitor operations: ensure quality and safety standards, adhere to procedures and submit samples.
- Troubleshoot emergencies, implement corrective actions, perform first line maintenance.
- Execute shutdowns and changeovers as required by production schedule.
- Self‑starter with ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Good mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to apply best‑practice safety and continuous improvement methods and systems.
