Position: Infection Prevention Nurse (RN)

Infection Prevention Nurse (RN)$5,000 Sign-On Bonus | 32 Hours/Week | Excellent Benefits

Dawn Hill Home for Rehab and Nursing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Infection Prevention Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infection prevention professional who is passionate about protecting residents, supporting clinical teams, and maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and quality care in a skilled nursing environment.

The Infection Prevention Nurse will be responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and ongoing improvement of the facility's infection prevention and control program. This position will work closely with nursing leadership, clinical staff, residents, families, and other departments to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

  • Minimum of 3 years of infection prevention and control experience
    , preferably in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care setting.

  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention principles and practices.

  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local infection prevention requirements.

  • Experience with infection surveillance, investigation, reporting, and outbreak management.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.

  • Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.

  • Experience with QAPI and antibiotic stewardship preferred.
