We are a leading manufacturer of high-temperature thermoplastic components for aerospace‑defense, semiconductor, energy and medical industries, headquartered in Bristol, Rhode Island.
SummaryThe Quality Compliance & Systems Manager is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continual improvement of the organization's quality management systems and quality‑related compliance programs. Serving as the Quality Management Representative for AS9100 and ISO 9001, this role supports certification activities, customer audits, management reviews, and ongoing compliance with customer, regulatory, industry, and business requirements.
The position leads customer audit preparation and coordination, manages customer surveys and compliance questionnaires, supports NADCAP and supplier validation activities, and maintains oversight of applicable standards, specifications, and documented management system requirements. The role also supports the organization's CMMC readiness efforts through documentation management, evidence collection, gap assessments, corrective action follow‑up, and coordination of compliance‑related activities across the business.
Working closely with Quality, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology, and Compliance leadership, the Quality Compliance & Systems Manager helps ensure audit readiness, system effectiveness, operational compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Primary Areas of Responsibility- Quality Management System Administration (AS9100 and ISO 9001)
- Quality Management Representative (QMR) Responsibilities
- Customer Audit Planning, Coordination, and Follow‑Up
- Customer Surveys, Assessments, and Compliance Questionnaires
- NADCAP Compliance Support and Audit Readiness
- CMMC Readiness Administration and Evidence Management
- Supplier Validation and Escalation Support
- Standards, Specification, and Document Management
- Gap Assessments, Corrective Actions, and Continuous Improvement Activities
- Management Review Support, Metrics, and Reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience supporting or managing Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems required.
- Experience supporting customer audits, third‑party certification audits, and corrective action processes required.
- NADCAP experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of CMMC, NIST 800‑171, customer cybersecurity requirements, or related compliance frameworks preferred.
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of risk‑based thinking, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continual improvement methodologies.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and quality management system tools.
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
