Job DescriptionUtility Crew Lead Position is responsible for maintaining all work areas, dishes, floors, and utensils. Supervision of utility crew while acting as a working lead.
Essential Functions/Characteristics- Interacts professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Works effectively as a team leader on all assignments.
- Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
- Collects sorts and washes dishes. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans. Sweeps and mops floors.
- Complies with all sanitation, Serv Safe, and safety requirements.
- Works as a contact between utility crew and management.
- Assists in back dock organization and proper trash and waste receptacle treatment.
- Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
- Assists with the set up of special events or additional kitchen spaces.
- Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- This position directly supervises and is responsible for working in a team and completing tasks in a group setting.

$500 signing bonus after a 4-month satisfactory probationary period

- Ability to use a timekeeping system to properly record time worked for payroll processing.
- Ability to follow instructions from multiple managers, chefs, and supervisors.
- Ability to work in a group/team and function efficiently.
- Possess the ability to meet unit-specific uniform standards for this position.
- Utilize all Personal Protective Equipment per Dining s guidelines.
- Wear a cut-resistance glove whenever using a sharp or potentially sharp tool or instrument.
- Ability to follow all Dining health and safety standards and requirements.
At the University s discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be accepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
