We are seeking an EBPA Manager to join our team at one of our office locations, hybrid, or remotely!

The EBPA Manager oversees the delivery of Employee Benefits Planning & Administration services, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant administration of employee benefit plans. This role is responsible for managing engagements, coordinating workflow, reviewing complex plan work, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients. EBPA Managers apply advanced technical knowledge and professional judgment while supervising and developing Benefit and Senior Coordinators.

What

your day looks like:
  • Manages assigned EBPA engagements, including planning, workflow coordination, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for clients on employee benefit plan administration and compliance matters.
  • Reviews complex plan administration work, compliance testing, filings, and documentation for accuracy and adherence to regulatory and Firm standards.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of employee benefit plan regulations to resolve complex issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Provides direction and oversight to EBPA Senior Coordinators and Coordinators, including work review and day-to-day guidance.
  • Ensures complete and accurate documentation within Firm systems and work papers.
  • Identifies engagement risks, issues, or inefficiencies and escalates appropriately with recommended actions.
  • Supports onboarding of new or complex plans, including workflow design and transition activities.
  • Collaborates with other service lines and Firm leadership as needed to support client needs.
  • Contributes to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and client experience.
  • Supports the development of EBPA team members through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
  • Identifies opportunities to expand EBPA client relationships, improve client service, and support growth of EBPA services through collaboration with Firm leadership and other service lines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Follows Firm policies by conforming to procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Develops an understanding of the Firm’s vision, plan, and strategies and their role in achieving them.
  • Works sufficient hours needed to complete assigned responsibilities.
What you need for this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • ASPPA certification preferred; continued progress toward advanced EBPA credentials expected.
  • 5–7 years of experience in employee benefit plan administration, compliance, or related EBPA roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit plan regulations, compliance testing, and filing requirements.
  • Experience reviewing complex plan work and providing guidance to junior team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with benefit plan systems and recordkeepers preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
