the city of bristol, tennessee is seeking a highly motivated professional to step into the role of risk management specialist. This is a working position responsible for performing day-to-day activities related to the city’s risk management program, including intake, investigation, and resolution of property, liability, and workers' compensation claims.

• investigate and resolve property, liability, and worker's compensation claims.
• collaborate with city staff, department heads, outside agencies, and the public.
• research complex regulatory issues and recommend strategic courses of action.

• experience: 3+ years of proven relevant working experience with property/liability coverage, osha and workers' comp.
• education: associate’s degree in business, health, safety, or related field (bachelor’s or public sector experience preferred).
• industry flexibility: experience managing risk in the construction and hospitality industries, as well as within human resources, will be highly considered.
• technical skills: proficiency in microsoft office.
• credentials: valid driver's license; must pass a background check, physical exam, and drug screening.
