Textile Operator

TEXTILE MACHINE OPERATOR (12 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT) 7pm – 7am
Summary: Responsible for operating and monitoring production of knitted fabrics on multiple machines that differ by make, model and the style of fabrics produced.

• Promote safety.
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
• Monitor fabrics for visible defects and initiate corrective action to eliminate them.
• Properly set up machines for production runs.
• Daily housekeeping in work area.
• Complete paperwork for finished rolls.

• Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
• Use overhead cranes and tow motors to move materials within the production area or to the storage area.
• The associate is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud

• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.

• HS Diploma/GED required
• Previous factory experience helpful, but will train
• Some computer skills preferred
