Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg-Neuro position requiring a TN or compact RN license and night shift availability.
Responsibilities- Work in the Medical Surgical - Neuro unit of a community hospital
- Care for neurological patients on a medical-surgical floor with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18:30 to 07:00
- Every other weekend required
- No call responsibilities
- Floating to other units is required
- Participate in nursing student support and clinical education in addition to patient care responsibilities
- General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online CBL modules
- 16 hours of nonbillable orientation provided
- Shift cancellations may occur biweekly based on census, and overtime/flex shifts are subject to census needs
- AHA certifications are the only accepted provider for required credentials
- Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- AHA BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Community hospital experience required
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
- First time travelers accepted
