We’re looking for Intensive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Bristol, TN. The right nurse should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
As an ICU Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring patients in an ICU setting. You will document and provide physician‑directed care, assess and implement patient care plans, delegate to other care providers as appropriate, and provide education and support to patient families.
Your tasks will include:
- Provide basic bedside care.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
- Take samples for lab work, order corresponding tests, and interpret reports.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret and record electronic displays.
- Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
- Communicate patients’ conditions to family members.
Physical requirements:
stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty, lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when necessary. Handle exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases, treat patients who may be confused or agitated.
Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIH, 1 Year. Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment.
Pay: Pay package based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation), tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
