American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with critical care skills including ventilator management and vasoactive drip titration for a 13-week assignment.

• ICU setting with 3x12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) on a 36/36 schedule
• Floating to PCU (1:5 ratio) and Med-Surg (1:7 ratio) as needed
• No call requirements
• Epic charting system preferred

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certification is the only accepted form)
• PALS certification preferred
• Critical care skills required including IV therapy, central line care, arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory skills required including ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experience with cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip management, and dysrhythmia interpretation required
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and cardiac monitoring required
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and emergency medication administration required
• Preferred skills include CRRT/CVVHD, EVD, ICP monitoring, Impella, IABP, and Swan Ganz monitoring
• Preferred experience in Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, and Burn units
• Preferred skills include GI surgery care and IV insulin protocol management

• Care for critically ill patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and life support interventions
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning modules
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit-testing guidelines
• Must reside 100 miles from the facility with no local candidates accepted
• Contract nursing staff are expected to support nursing student education alongside clinical care duties
