Location: UK (Montrose/Bristol) with frequent international travel. Relocation to Baku (Azerbaijan) for the installation phase.
Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term contract (renewable)

Context
Join a major offshore gas project in the Caspian Sea, aimed at developing a conventional gas and condensate field. This ambitious project includes the construction of subsea and onshore infrastructure, with a production capacity of 450 MMscfd of gas and 38,000 barrels per day of condensate.
We are seeking a QA/QC Lead Engineer specializing in Subsea Production Systems (SPS) to ensure operational excellence and compliance with the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
As the QA/QC Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Defining and implementing the quality strategy for the SPS package, covering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and testing phases.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and internal standards while proactively managing quality risks and contractor performance.
- Supervising daily quality activities of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring rigorous monitoring of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters among stakeholders (contractors, vendors, third-party authorities).
- Driving KPIs and continuous improvement actions, leveraging lessons learned and feedback.
- Approving contractors' quality plans, certification dossiers, and manufacturing records.
- Coordinating third-party inspections and providing technical support to the project quality team.
Required Profile
Experience And Skills
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with at least 10 years in QA/QC for Subsea Production Systems (SPS).
- Proven experience in QA/QC leadership on major EPC/EPCI projects.
- In-depth knowledge of subsea equipment (Xmas Trees, manifolds, umbilicals, control systems).
- Strong understanding of international standards (API, ISO, DNV) and quality processes (ISO 9001, audits, non-conformity management).
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) preferred.
- Experience in vendor surveillance and global supply chain quality management.
- Ability to work in multicultural and multi-site environments.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Previous experience on similar projects in the Caspian Sea or deep offshore environments.
- Familiarity with standards and procedures of a major oil and gas company.

Based in the UK (Montrose or Bristol) with frequent travel to manufacturing sites and vendors. - Installation Phase:
Relocation to Baku (Azerbaijan). - Close collaboration with project teams, contractors, and third-party certification authorities.
