The Chequers is a beautiful pub overlooking the river Avon on a national trust walk. We pride ourselves on using fresh British produce; all our meals are cooked freshly on-site. Whilst we are a very seasonal business and very busy over the summer period we also have a healthy trade during the off‑season of local clientele and guests using the river Avon for their sporting activities.

We have a large and diverse wine list with varieties from all over the world, an extensive beer and spirit collection, and bespoke cocktail menus.

We are looking for an existing Kitchen Assistant or an individual looking for their next step to their hospitality career, who considers themselves to have a passion to work within a reliable team that delivers high quality standards. We need hard‑working and dedicated people behind the scenes to help our restaurants run smoothly and to ensure that they are always clean and tidy.

As the successful Kitchen Porter you will:

• Be an active hands‑on person with a passion to work hard as part of a team
• Have high standards and a great work ethic
• Show willingness to learn new skills, be an active team player with excellent communication skills
• Work alongside your kitchen team and demonstrate creativity and ability by helping to deliver top quality service
• Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills to complete day to day tasks
