Field Service Engineer

Field-based across South West and South Wales

Role Purpose

To service, repair, and maintain plant and machinery equipment to manufacturer specifications, ensuring machine reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role is field-based and requires technical autonomy, strong diagnostic capability, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and mechanical faults
  • Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic software and the company's service management tablet system
  • Complete detailed service reports with supporting photographs and accurate time logs
  • Identify additional service opportunities and proactively highlight machine defects (with financial incentives for leads)
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Represent the company professionally and build strong customer relationships
  • Participate in ongoing training and development through in-house technical training
  • Support strategic growth by delivering a consistently high standard of service aligned with company values

  • Qualifications & Experience
    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Engineering or equivalent (City & Guilds, SVQ)
    • Experience working with construction or agricultural machinery
    • Valid UK driving licence
    • Previous field service experience desirable
