Field Service Technician

Are you an experienced Field Service Technician with a background in combined heat and power?

Helec (part of Essco Group) has over 17 years’ experience providing Combined Heat & Power and packaged plant room equipment solutions. We encompass full design and installation in addition to maintenance and ongoing service requirements.

We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team to ensure the effective running and performance of our 250+ CHP units throughout the UK. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills and a proactive approach to service delivery.

• Planned and reactive maintenance of CHPs.
• Mechanical and electrical fault find and repair.
• Service of Powerbox, Indop, and Energimizer gas fuelled CHPs.
• Work with motors, generators, pumps, hydraulics.
• Utilise strong fault-finding skills to identify issues and offer resolutions.
• Provide a high level of customer service from start to finish.
• Collaborate with the office team to elevate complex issues.
• Carry out duties to a high standard whilst complying with all relevant health and safety requirements.
• Complete all necessary documentation.

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician working with commercial gas internal combustion engines.
• Experience servicing and carrying out whole life maintenance programs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
• IT literate, proficient in MS Office.

• Valid Gas Safe qualifications COCN

• Willing to travel extensively and stay away from home during the week.
• Home location within a two-hour drive of BS40 5RH
