Electrician

Electrician – Nailsea, England, UK

Static Electrician based at our client site in Nailsea. The role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, lighting systems, PLCs, and power distribution systems.
• Inspect and test electrical components for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth running of equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation.
• Recommend improvements and upgrades to enhance system reliability and energy efficiency.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and electrical codes.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.

• City and Guilds Level 3 2365/2357 qualification with AM2.
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in electrical maintenance within an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical License, OSHA training) are advantageous.
