We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias

WhatYou’ll Do
- Deliver planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical systems and equipment, supporting a proactive multi‑skilled approach to site maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair faults across electrical equipment, lighting systems, and related mechanical systems to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.
- Carry out electrical inspections, systems to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance within UK regulations.
- Collaborate closely with production, operations, and engineering teams to minimise downtime, optimise performance, and ensure the smooth running of all facilities equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation to support traceability and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and recommend improvements and upgrades to enhance system reliability, energy efficiency, and overall operational performance.
- Ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant electrical standards and codes of practice.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and technologies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Minimum qualification:
BS 7671 (Wiring Regulations), with demonstrated competence in electrical installation, inspection and testing. - Desirable:
City & Guilds Level 3 (e.g. 2365/2357) including AM2, plus a recognised Inspection & Testing qualification (such as 2391 or equivalent). - Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in electrical maintenance or equivalent.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a hands‑on, proactive approach to fault diagnosis and resolution.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi‑skilled and cross‑functional team.
