My client is a well-established mechanical engineering contractor specialising in the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial steam, process pipework and mechanical systems across a wide range of industrial sectors. They are looking to recruit an experienced Pipefitter Welder to join their team on a self-employed CIS basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both pipe fitting and pipe welding, be confident working from engineering drawings, and have experience installing carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework within industrial environments.

Pipefitter Welder Position Overview

• Installation and fabrication of carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework
• Pipe fitting duties including measuring, cutting, aligning and assembling pipe systems
• TIG and MMA welding of process and steam pipework to a high standard
• Installation of flanged, threaded and welded pipe systems
• Working on steam systems, plant rooms, boiler houses and other industrial mechanical installations
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and isometric drawings
• Carrying out site installation, maintenance and shutdown works across customer sites
• Working safely in accordance with site health & safety procedures
