Fabric Engineer

Fabric Engineer  £30,000  £34,000 | Monday Friday 8-5 | Stoke Gifford, Bristol  We are looking for an experienced  Fabric Engineer  to join a professional facilities management team working on a high-profile commercial site in Stoke Gifford, Bristol.
The role will involve a broad range of  planned and reactive fabric maintenance , so we're looking for someone with a practical, hands-on approach and experience across general building maintenance.
Working hours will be Monday-Friday 8-5 and part of a team of 5 engineers onsite.

The Role    Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance
Complete general building repairs and remedial works
Painting and decorating
Basic carpentry and joinery
Repairs to doors, locks, ironmongery and fixtures
Minor plastering, filling and making good
Ceiling, wall and flooring repairs
General maintenance and upkeep of the building
Respond to reactive maintenance requests
Complete PPM tasks and maintenance checks
Identify and report building defects
Work alongside the wider engineering and facilities team
Maintain a high standard of presentation across the site
Complete relevant maintenance records and paperwork
About You   We're looking for someone with a  broad range of practical maintenance skills  and previous experience in a Fabric Engineer, Building Maintenance, Handyman or similar role.
You should have:
Experience in general building/fabric maintenance
Good practical and problem-solving skills
Experience across a range of building repairs
A professional and reliable approach
Good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
Relevant trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential
We welcome candidates from a range of trade and maintenance backgrounds who can demonstrate the practical skills required for the role.
