Fire & Security Engineer - Bristol and surrounding areas - £34k-£40k plus overtime Benefits:
Company van, fuel card, overtime, pension and additional benefits We are working with an established and growing fire and security business that is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join its team, covering Bristol and the surrounding areas. You will be joining a supportive team with organised scheduling, technical backup and the tools and equipment needed to deliver a great service. What you will be doing

Your role will be predominantly service and maintenance focused, working across a range of residential and commercial sites. Responsibilities will include:
Servicing, maintaining and repairing fire alarm and electronic security systems. Working across CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and fire detection systems. Investigating faults and identifying practical, effective solutions. Completing smaller installation works and system upgrades when required. Attending reactive call-outs and helping customers resolve technical issues. Completing accurate service reports and technical documentation. Ensuring work meets relevant industry standards and health and safety requirements.

Building positive relationships with customers and working closely with the wider service team. Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota. What we are looking for We would love to speak with engineers who have:
Around two to three years' experience in fire and security engineering, ideally within service and maintenance. Hands-on experience with fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. A good understanding of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements. The ability to work independently and manage their time effectively. A professional, approachable manner when dealing with customers.

A full UK driving licence. Industry qualifications such as FIA or City & Guilds would be advantageous, as would knowledge of BS 5839, NSI, BAFE and IP-based security systems. An 18th Edition qualification would also be beneficial but is not essential. What is on offer? Basic salary of £34,000 to £40,000, dependent on experience. Paid overtime opportunities.
