Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer – Forklift Trucks Dewsbury | £16.50 Rising to £17.50 per hour after probation Mission Resourcing is on the lookout for another superstar! We're working with a specialist business within the materials handling industry that is looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer to join its team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who knows their way around forklift trucks, enjoys fault-finding and repairing equipment, and wants a varied role working directly with customers across the field.

The Role As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and materials handling equipment at customer sites. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks. Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults. Responding to breakdowns and getting equipment back up and running as quickly as possible. Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections. Travelling to customer sites to carry out repairs and servicing. Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant standards. Completing service reports and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Building strong relationships with customers and providing a professional service. About You We're looking for a hands-on engineer with experience repairing forklift trucks or similar materials handling equipment. Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Plant Engineer. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Experience working on forklift trucks, FLTs or other materials handling equipment. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and industrial machinery. The ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently. A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel to customer sites. A practical, organised and customer-focused approach.
