The Tax Coordinator supports the Tax Department in meeting compliance and reporting obligations for a multi-state manufacturing organization. This role assists with audit document preparation, personal property tax filings, and sales and use tax filings across multiple jurisdictions. The position may also provide clerical and accounting support, including invoice processing and basic general ledger maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in tax, accounting, or finance who is detail-oriented and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparation and organization of documentation for internal and external tax audits
  • Support the preparation and filing of personal property tax returns across multiple states
  • Assist with sales and use tax filings
    , including data gathering, reconciliation, and support documentation
  • Help track filing deadlines and maintain organized tax records and calendars
  • Perform basic clerical and accounting tasks, including:
  • Assisting with invoice processing and coding
  • Maintaining and reconciling selected general ledger account balances
  • Supporting general accounting and tax-related administrative duties
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Accounting, AP, Operations) to gather required tax and audit information
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Some college coursework in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in an accounting, tax, or clerical role is a plus
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles or tax concepts is helpful but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial documentation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a team-based environment
  • Professional, dependable, and reliable work ethic
