Overview
We are looking for a diligent and organised payroll officer to join a close-knit team at an accountancy firm. The role involves managing a dedicated remit for payroll clients and meeting varied deadlines.
Responsibilities- Take responsibility for payroll and pensions administration for your own portfolio of clients, including month-end and year-end duties, SSP and SMP, RTI reporting, auto enrolment, liaising with HMRC and external pensions providers, and responding to client queries.
- Handle a portfolio of payroll clients with strong time management and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues within a sociable, supportive team environment.
- Previous bureau experience is ideal, though consideration will be given to specialist pay rollers with a background in high-volume environments.
- Excellent time management and team-working experience are essential.
- Ability to demonstrate experience using a range of payroll software packages.
