A well-established and growing specialist within the UK construction and building-envelope sector is seeking an experienced Product Support Manager to join its technical team, focusing on metal roofing systems for commercial and industrial projects.
This is a key technical role, supporting projects from early design through to completion, working closely with sales teams, contractors, and external partners to deliver compliant, high-quality roofing solutions.
The RoleYou will be responsible for the day‑to‑day technical support of metal roofing products and systems, providing expert input across specification, design, and on‑site delivery. The role combines office‑based technical work with regular site visits and customer interaction.
- Producing and approving bespoke metal roofing specifications
- Carrying out thermal calculations and ensuring compliance with building regulations
- Creating technical drawings and details using AutoCAD
- Providing technical support to sales teams, contractors, and customers
- Attending site visits during planning, installation, and post‑completion stages
- Assisting with project management from enquiry through to completion
- Liaising with third‑party suppliers and service providers
- Maintaining technical resources such as drawings, data sheets, certifications, BIM content, and specifications
- Delivering technical and installation training to internal teams and external partners
- Advising marketing teams on technical content where required
You’ll be a confident technical professional with a strong understanding of metal roofing systems, particularly standing seam, and experience working within a construction‑focused environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of metal roofing design, construction, and specification
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards
- Familiarity with CDM 2015 and designer responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident presenting technical information to groups
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Experience liaising with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Comfortable visiting construction sites and carrying out surveys

- Degree or formal qualification in a construction‑related discipline
- Background in project management, design, or site supervision
