Estimator - Infrastructure

Owing to continued demand and our ambitious plans for growth, Turner & Townsend are looking to recruit Estimators and Senior Estimators with proven experience across the Infrastructure (Rail, Airports, Highways, Power, Water or Utilities) sector. Opportunities are available in our London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester offices.

Estimators at Turner & Townsend make the difference by supporting clients as embedded resources within their organization or through ad-hoc work for multiple clients across the infrastructure sector as part of the Estimating Hub. Although our work is predominantly for UK‑based clients, our Estimators can work remotely (from the UK) on estimating tasks for clients around the globe.

Our team delivers a wide range of estimating outputs to support decision making, including:

• Estimate production (from order of magnitude estimates through to detailed estimates built from first principles)
• Estimating support to major programme set‑up

• Production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner.
• Control and management of the estimating process at project level.
• Production of estimates without management or supervision.
• Supporting the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
• Assisting in the achievement of departmental objectives.
• Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise to provide best‑practice advice in line with business objectives.

• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
• Relevant successful experience of provision of estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment.
• Previous experience with estimating software packages.
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards it.
• Desirable: membership of RICS, CIOB, or
