Hematology/Oncology Physician
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art clinical setting. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced physician to support our multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality oncology and hematology services to adults with both complex and straightforward conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while working within a collaborative environment that values your expertise.
Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology
- Virginia State Medical License
- Valid DEA certification for Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
- Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Epic/Beacon
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills:
- Experience with benign hematology conditions such as iron deficiency anemia
- Familiarity with outpatient infusion procedures
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary clinic operations
- Prior experience with research or clinical trials in oncology/hematology
Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Prior experience in oncology and hematology practices
- Experience managing adult patients (>18 years old) with solid tumors and malignant hematologic conditions
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to support clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Willingness to support clinic coverage for a three-month duration
- All billable travel and credentialing expenses supported when applicable
