The OpportunityEDF EPR Engineering UK (EDF EPR Engineering) is part of Edvance, a joint venture between EDF and Framatome. The team designs and delivers the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C and leads replication for Sizewell C as part of An Electric Britain. #HinkleyPoint

You’ll lead the SZC Mechanical branch contracts, overseeing delivery of mechanical equipment and valve scopes. You’ll drive consistency in design replication from HPC to SZC, manage risks, guide engineering teams and coordinate suppliers across the UK, France and Germany.
- Build and deliver the List of Deliverables, including revisions from SZC Co
- Contribute discipline input for Task Order quotations
- Deliver scope to the allocated budget and schedule, reporting against Level 4 plans
- Set priorities, allocate resources and manage technical interfaces
- Escalate delivery risks to trigger NSA contract change mechanisms
- Foster contractual mindset on fixed price and incentivised KPIs
- Coordinate learnings between HPC and SZC teams
- Resolve non‑conformances from other contractors
- Review and approve documents within contractual timescales and KPIs
- Master’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific discipline
- Experience in nuclear mechanical equipment design, manufacture or operations
- Proven experience leading small engineering teams
- Strong focus on safety and quality with knowledge of nuclear safety principles
- Understanding of equipment interfaces across safety case, systems engineering and CDM
- Contract management and documentary surveillance skills
- Experience of UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR and
- Knowledge of EDF France teams and stakeholders
- Understanding of EPR or general PWR design
- Project controls skills for managing schedules and budgets
This is a hybrid role based from our #Aztec West office in #Bristol, typically 3 days on‑site per week
. Occasional travel to #HinkleyPoint
C and #Sizewell
C, with periodic collaboration in #France and #Germany.
This role requires the ability to obtain BPSS and Security Check (SC) clearance. You must have the right to work in the UK.
