Senior or Principal Civil Engineer – Water and Wastewater

Position based in our Bristol office with flexible hybrid working – a minimum of 3 days in office and adjustable start and finish times. The role focuses on delivering outline design and detailed specifications for water and wastewater schemes, acting as Lead Design Engineer on non‑infrastructure projects.

• Lead design and checking of detailed design, calculations, drawings, sketches and reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, support the Project Manager in project briefing, deliverables, milestones and quality management.
• Maintain and improve project management methods; prepare and present close‑out meetings and recommend improvements.
• Engage in business development activities – prepare capability statements, pre‑qualification questionnaires, expressions of interest and tenders; build and maintain client relationships.

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards, with a relevant institution such as ICE or CIWEM.
• Strong interpersonal and team‑working skills, with good communication abilities at all levels.
• In‑depth knowledge of water and wastewater non‑infrastructure design, including process engineering and multidisciplinary integration.
• Extensive experience in design, contract and tender preparation, tender assessment and contract administration.
