Environmental Specialist

Administers the organization's environmental programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations and standards.

• Ensure the accurate submission of all required federal, state and local environmental permits and related reports, including Title V, RCRA, DOT and stormwater management requirements.
• Collect, maintain and organize regulatory compliance records.
• Maintain throughput emissions data within the Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Monitor and evaluate pending legislation and regulatory changes to determine potential impacts on the company.
• Manage the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP).
• Assist the EHS Department with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) reviews for new materials.
• Coordinate hazardous waste pickups and maintain all required manifest documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health Science or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Two (2) or more years of manufacturing environmental compliance preferred.
