ResponsibilitiesGuarantee that Safety is the overriding priority for any activity performed during Pre-Construction activities which includes nuclear safety as well as Industrial Safety. Planning the work must also recognise the importance of a strong Nuclear Safety and Quality culture (conformance with the requirement, implementation of the site adaptation, non-conformance treatment) and the importance of a “right first-time” attitude including the implementation of lessons learned and share good practice.
Drive the mechanical activity (mainly piping) in a building from the site delivery to the handover to Commissioning. This includes all the preparation activities before the physical start of the activities in the building (documentation, procurement of material, interfaces with other Programmes, synthesis of MEH activities, commissioning needs, access) by gathering project data and producing reports for management review.
Implementation of the MEH L4 schedule (4 weeks and 16 weeks look ahead). Warn the management in case of change and potential risks.
Key RelationshipsThe Mechanical Construction Lead Engineer has the responsibility to ensure delivery of the mechanical activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the buildings Project schedule. He is reporting to the Project Manager of his area or disciplines. He will ensure planning and delivery in accordance with all safety, quality, time, and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project.
ProfileEssential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Experienced profile: at least 5 years of experience including 3 years recognised in equivalent missions.
- Strong adaptability and autonomy.
- Strong interest for new challenges and major projects.
- Ability to implement field operational experience and integrate OPEX.
Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills.
- Mechanical Engineer in erection/maintenance scopes with a background in preparation and execution of Mechanical activities (Piping and Equipment installation) preferably in nuclear sector.
- A successful experience in project management would be an added value.
- A strong technical interest, particularly in the field of construction or maintenance of industrial installations is required for this position.
- A mastery of computer tools is essential: manipulation of massive data under Excel, Power BI, 3D model…
- Knowledge of EPR model would be an asset.
- Fluent English required:
Writing technical documents and daily exchanges in English (at least level B2). French would be an asset.
