Requirements
Must have:- We require a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with at least 15 years of relevant experience, or a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with at least 13 years of experience.
- We need hands-on experience with industry-standard electrical design tools such as Altium, SPICE, and MATLAB.
- We are looking for a strong background in product development, especially involving underwater vehicles and subsea devices.
- We expect demonstrated success resolving technical issues throughout electrical design, development, and implementation.
- We value strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in group settings.
- We require proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- We need experience with Earned Value, Cost Account Management, and Integrated Master Schedule development and tracking.
- We require the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance.
- We require U.S. citizenship.
- We need the ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
- We expect experience interpreting requirements traceability within a model-based systems engineering environment.
- Preferred qualifications include prior defense industry experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience designing and testing electronics in wet and subsea environments.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with military standards, ruggedized equipment design, and environmental testing requirements.

Responsibilities:
- We lead electrical engineering support for AUV and ROV systems and present technical concepts related to design and performance.
- We collaborate closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Quality, and Manufacturing teams on integrated vehicle development.
- We technically drive the research and development of new circuit card designs and electromechanical assemblies.
- We perform functional analysis, evaluation, and optimization of product designs.
- We present technical findings and recommendations to internal and external customers in a way that fits the audience.
- We provide technical guidance to key subcontractors and suppliers.
- We create and maintain power and endurance budgets throughout development.
- We support manufacturing-related technical issues.
- We lead design verification activities.
- We conduct cost-benefit trade studies and feasibility assessments.
- We lead failure analysis for electrical hardware.
- We contribute to system-level design decisions and cross-disciplinary trade-offs.
- We analyze operating data, run tests, and make design recommendations based on results.
- We select components and equipment based on requirements, specifications, and reliability needs.
- We support the broader engineering team by applying our expertise to system-level decision making.

The position may begin as remote or hybrid and will ultimately be based at our new Bristol, Rhode Island facility, which is expected to open in late 2026 or early 2027.
