Position Summary

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring maximum guest service and satisfaction of external and internal guests through the organization and supervision of the Slot Department according to established policies and procedures.

Essential Functions
  • General responsibility for assigned area/capacity of Electronic Gaming Devices (EGD) operation during assigned shift.
  • Ensure personnel comply with all Federal, State, and internal policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Train, develop, counsel and discipline staff within assigned parameters.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Manage subordinates in the Slot Department, providing overall direction, coordination and evaluation.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
  • Plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems of employees and guests.
  • Maintain adherence to Indiana Gaming Regulations.
  • Attend seminars when needed.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience. Prior slot experience and gaming industry experience strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements
  • Obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications required by Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
  • Successfully pass background check and drug screening.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Work holidays, weekends, flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Prior gaming industry experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge
  • Pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations.
  • Hard Rock operations and slot‑related machinery.
  • Policies and procedures and ability to identify various cheating techniques.
  • Game manuals, policies, procedures and ability to coordinate or supervise others.
Abilities
  • Deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere where guests want to return and experience is positive and memorable.
  • Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm and outgoing personality while projecting a professional appearance.
  • Effectively observe and direct actions of subordinates and trainees.
  • Review and comprehend documentation such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of guests and team members.
  • Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Work with computers and large amounts of cash.
