Job Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for activities in the Count Room to ensure the integrity of currency and voucher counting derived from the Slot machines, as well as ensuring compliance with the Virginia Lottery regulations. The incumbent also provides extraordinary service to both internal and external guests.
Responsibilities- Collect funds from Slot Machines.
- Verify documentation associated with the funds.
- Conduct mechanically assisted counts of the contents of BVU boxes.
- Conduct mechanically assisted counts of the contents of live gaming device drop boxes to determine the amount of the drop and the win by table.
- Process and provide accurate financial records from the daily count.
- Count, strap, and wrap funds.
- Ensure the count room is clean and orderly.
- Enter data into the ACSC computer system.
- Communicate and provide excellent customer service to team members, guests, and vendors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, adhering to all Virginia Lottery regulations and departmental SOPs.
- Attend seminars when needed.
- High school diploma required.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications required by federal, state, and the Virginia Lottery.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to operate drop carts to assist in the pickup, transfer, and delivery of funds.
- Must be capable of operating quickly throughout the gaming floor and completing repetitive motions.
- Knowledge of cashiering or banking operations.
- Knowledge of the gaming industry, including principles and practices of a capital and operations budget.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with a 10‑key calculator.
- Prior experience in the gaming industry strongly preferred.
- Effectively interact with people.
- Perform mathematical functions.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Identify different denominations of vouchers and currency; quickly count and stock vouchers and currency.
- Count and separate varying denominations of vouchers and currency.
- Be flexible to work early morning, overnight shifts, and various schedules as needed.
- Work efficiently on the casino floor amid varying levels of crowds and noise.
- Deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere encouraging guests to return.
- Interpret and explain policies and procedures.
$14.00–$19.00 per hour.
