The incumbent in this position is responsible for the activities in the Count Room to ensure the integrity of currency and voucher counting derived from the Slot machines, as well as ensuring compliance with the Virginia Lottery regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for providing extraordinary service to both the internal and external guests.
Essential Functions- Collect funds from Slot Machines.
- Verification of documentation.
- Conduct a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the BVU boxes.
- Conduct a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the live gaming device drop boxes to determine, by table, the amount of the drop and the win.
- Process and provide accurate financial records from the daily count.
- Count, strap and wrap funds.
- Ensure the count room is clean and orderly.
- Enter data into ACSC computer system.
- Communicate and provide excellent customer service to team members, guests, and vendors.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and adhere to all Virginia Lottery Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Attend seminars when needed.
High school diploma required.
Additional Requirements- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must be able to operate drop carts to assist in the pickup, transfer, and delivery of funds.
- Must be capable of moving quickly throughout the gaming floor and complete repetitive motions.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Cashiering or banking operations.
- The Gaming industry, including principles and practices of a capital and operations budget.
- Basic math skills.
- 10-Key calculator.
- Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
- Effectively interact with people.
- Perform mathematical functions.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Identify different denominations of vouchers and currency and quickly count and stock vouchers and currency.
- Count and separate varying denominations of vouchers and currency.
- Be flexible to work early morning/overnight shifts and times schedules as needed.
- Work on the Casino floor and be subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, with severity dependent upon guest volume.
- Deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
- Interpret and explain policies and procedures.
$14 - $19/Hourly
