We have an exciting new opportunity for a Banking & Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join our team in central Bristol.

The Team Leader will be responsible for leading the Banking & Purchase Ledger (BP&L) function within Finance Operations, ensuring the team delivers accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing across ARAG UK Group’s bank accounts and purchase ledger activities. This role plays a critical part in managing liquidity, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining governance standards in line with Company Policies.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the BP&L team, ensuring that all payments in and out of ARAG are recorded correctly, reconciliations are completed to a high standard, and queries from internal and external stakeholders are resolved efficiently. They will act as a key liaison with the Financial Accounting & Control team, auditors, and other departments, ensuring that ARAG’s financial controls and reporting obligations are met.

This is a great opportunity for someone with good communication skills at all levels, who is self‑motivated and proactive and who has experience of working within a banking, financial payments or cash management environment and although experience within insurance or a financial services industry would be highly advantageous, this is not essential.

Required and Desirable Skills
  • Experience in a Cash Management, Treasury or comparable Operations Manager role (Desirable)
  • Experience dealing with resource planning, developing and monitoring KPI, coaching and mentoring others to achieve their full potential and delivering against targets to drive improved performance (Desirable)
  • Excellent knowledge of FCA & PRA and SRA regulations
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
  • A keen attention to detail, seeking new ways to enhance processes and controls ensuring that improvements are implemented effectively
