Position Summary

The incumbent is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information for internal and external use, maintaining the integrity of accounting records by compiling, reconciling, adjusting, and/or reclassifying accounting and operational information. The role analyzes assigned balance sheet accounts and maintains respective account folders, and provides specialized familiarity with the operations and financial statements of the assigned departments.

Essential Functions
  • Creates an atmosphere that attracts guests to choose Hard Rock Bristol for gaming entertainment; actively builds and retains guest relations.
  • Serves as mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
  • Manages daily cash activities: updates daily bank activity, transfers funds, pays expenses, prepares deposits, maintains banking functions for operational purposes.
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintains Fixed Asset Accounting System and Company’s Chart of Accounts.
  • Adheres to all Virginia Lottery Regulations.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in cash management and fixed asset accounting activities.
Additional Requirements
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check and drug screening.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
  • Must be twenty‑one (21) years of age.
  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of
  • Gaming industry, including principles and practices of a capital and operations budget.
  • Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Financial systems and proficiency with spreadsheet software; 10‑Key calculator.
Abilities
  • Perform mathematical and statistical functions.
  • Independently initiate, follow up, and complete assignments, as well as special projects.
  • Perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Interface professionally with business contacts and guests.
  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and understand the potential impact on the department.
