Tax Assistant​/Senior

Overview

I'm urgently seeking a Tax Assistant or Senior to join a very well respected firm with a great reputation in the local area. Continued high levels of demand for their services have led to the creation of 2 new roles, one at the Assistant level and another at the Senior level.

Working within a friendly and supportive team environment, you will take on a broad and varied remit of compliance and tax planning assignments in a mixed tax capacity, to include working with personal and corporation tax, CGT and IHT.

At the more senior level you will take on additional responsibilities for reviewing work, and supervising and mentoring junior staff.

• Prepare and lodge personal and corporation tax returns.
• Assist with capital gains tax (CGT) and inheritance tax (IHT) matters.
• Conduct compliance reviews and self-assessments.
• Provide tax planning advice and support to clients.
• Review and mentor junior staff on the Assistant level.
• Supervise and oversee the work of junior staff on the Senior level.

• ATT or CTA qualified applicants.
• Active studiers of relevant tax qualifications.
• Alternatively, candidates considered qualified by experience.
• Strong background in a tax function within a practice environment.
• Support for study can be offered to active studiers.
