This Dev Ops Engineer role is part of Jacobs’ UK Digital & Data team in Bristol. You will help build and operate scalable digital services across sectors such as water, transportation, defence, and government, while driving cloud, automation and continuous delivery practices.

What you'll do
  • Design, implement and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across development, test and production environments.
  • Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and automated software delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to improve workflows and deployment practices.
  • Implement infrastructure‑as‑code solutions using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
  • Support containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
What you'll need
  • Strong knowledge and experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools and automation frameworks such as Jenkins, Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with microservices, containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as ELK Stack or Cloud Watch.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in complex environments.
