A highly regarded and growing South West–based Power of Chartered Accountants with a mágenuously strong presence in Bristol. The RoleDue to continued growth, the firm is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join its Bristol audit team. This is a client‑facing role with responsibility for managing audits from planning through to completion, supervising teams on‑site and supporting Managers and Partners in delivering a high‑quality audit service. The position offers excellent exposure to a varied client portfolio and provides a strong platform for progression to Audit Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Planning, leading and completing audit assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Acting as the main on‑site contact for clients during audits
- Supervising, coaching and developing junior audit staff
- Reviewing audit work and ensuring compliance with firm andmusik regulatory standards
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts where required
- Identifying and communicating audit findings and management points to clients
- Supporting Managers and Partners with workflow management and client service delivery
- Assisting with proposals, tender documents and business development activity
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist close to qualification)
- Strong audit background within UK accountancy practice
- Experience of leading audits and supervising teams
- Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
- Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills
- Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple assignments
