Commercial Manager

Overview

Commercial Manager required to provide commercial oversight and control to ensure delivery of projects in line with client-side commercial arrangements and company strategy. Manages key contracts and liaises with internal and external stakeholders on major contracts. Promotes contract awareness and provides advice on commercial matters to protect Framatome Ltd interests.

• Ensure all commercial processes (including procurement) are implemented and followed.
• Contribute to developing processes to improve and maximise growth.
• Draft and develop robust commercial documents (in conjunction with Legal) to protect interests and maximise opportunities for Framatome Ltd.
• Ensure the organisation complies with contract obligations as stated.
• Communicate with internal and external parties on contract terms, focusing on the financial aspects.
• Coach and develop employees on best practices for managing complex contract issues.
• Nurture relationships with clients to ensure long-term delivery and value for the company.
• Involvement in negotiating and agreeing contracts prior to contract placement.
• Involvement with the bid process to highlight commercial risk.
• Accept extra duties as situations arise.
• Adhere to commercial processes and ensure clear understanding of contract obligations across stakeholders and leadership.
• Ensure business compliance with contractual obligations and provide commercial/contract awareness training across relevant teams.
• Favourably negotiate and agree contracts prior to placement and maintain robust commercial rigour within the bid process with clarity of commercial risks in bids.

• Proven experience in a junior contract/commercial management role, handling high-value, complex contracts.
• Strong background in corporate finance, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management.
• Foundational experience in complex negotiations and stakeholder management, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally.
• Strong knowledge of contract terms and construction industry regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them to projects.
