This position is responsible for productivity of the manufacturing extrusion line(s) while fostering a work environment that supports safety, productivity, quality, teamwork, and the Reschcor company culture and core values.
Position Overview This position is responsible for ensuring that all proper packaging materials are in place and all packages are properly constructed and maintained for proper shipment while also fostering a work environment that supports safety, productivity, quality, teamwork, and the Reschcor company culture and core values.
Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Supply all lines in operation with the supplies needed to package product properly
Build skids (made to order)
Cut boxes
Keeping 5s in mind with supplies and giving only the supplies needed
Help build boxes as needed
Communicate any shortages
Wrap finished product upon completion
Band skid per packaging instructions
Shrink wrap bundle
Verify that the finished product leaving the line conforms to packaging instructions prior to leaving the extrusion line Change banding rolls as needed
Put away any used supplies and return them to their proper place
Organize the consumable racks to ensure supplies are neat and organized
Coordinate daily breaks
Grind scrap from the lines
Maintain shadow boards and ensure tools are returned to the board
Verify that the labels are dispositioned correctly prior to the pallet being moved
Responsible for keeping the packaging end of the shop clean.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Include High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
Experience in plastics is preferred but not required
Ability to multitask
Ability to read a tape measure down to a 1/16
Strong time management skills
Positive attitude and team player
Ability to work safely
Trained to operate a chop saw Ability to problem solve
Dependable
Proficient with basic arithmetic
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents
Lean manufacturing or six sigma experience is a plus Forklift license
Considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination is required
