Area Sales Manager – Showers, Bathrooms and Plumbing & Heating

Industry: Shower enclosures, shower panels, walk‑in showers, wetroom systems, shower trays, plumbing and heating merchants, bathroom retail showrooms and buying groups.

Area to be covered:
South West & South Wales / South.

Remuneration: £50,000 + up to 20%-50% bonus. Benefits:
Fully expensed EV & full benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Field sales selling mid‑to‑upper range shower enclosures, panels, walk‑ins, wetroom systems and trays.
• Manage approximately 700 active customers – ~30% plumbing & heating merchants with bathroom showrooms and ~70% retail bathroom showrooms.
• Oversee an area currently achieving £2m turnover.
• 30% account management, 70% focus on low or zero‑spending accounts; spend more time with plumbing & heating merchants as growth area.
• Work in a “buddy system” with a Retail Support Manager handling display visits, technical enquiries and lower‑level accounts such as the national agreement with City Plumbing, UKPS etc.
• Manage Barwick Bathroom Distribution, Dell Factor Distribution and Claygate’s ASM’s and their customers.
• Assist with stock deals, promotions, buying policy, marketing and maximizing stock holdings and revenues.
• Report via CRM system.

Qualifications:

• Experience selling to plumbing & heating merchants and/or retail bathroom showrooms or buying group members.
• Proven field‑sales track record, new‑business hunter mentality.
• Specific showering product knowledge not essential (full training provided).
• Knowledge of KBB, bathroom, or plumbing & heating product industry.
• Outgoing team player, autonomous, dynamic/energetic approach.
• Able to hit the ground running, prepared to put in the hours.
