Position Summary

As a part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness.

- Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Receive & stock merchandise in an organized manner.
- Maintain inventory so that there is no out-of-stock or over-stock products.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross-functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, and controlling shrinkage in a timely manner.
- Understand the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (e.g., taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow company sanitation guidelines; and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Drive the performance of the area; use perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and provide attention to customer needs; assist customers according to company policies and procedures.
- Act as a Talent Ambassador – advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience, modeling high quality service and products, executing the basics at highest possible level of quality; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the member experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Will successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.

- Competitive hourly wage range: $17.00 to $25.00, plus potential premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
