Retail Security Officer

About the Role

Retail Security Officer at ASEL in St Philips Causeway, Bristol. The role involves providing visible deterrence, responding to incidents, completing incident reports, and collaborating with local authorities.

• Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity
• Assess and identify vulnerabilities, working proactively to minimise risk
• Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
• Complete colleague and contractor searches as required by policy
• Use tablets/phones for digital incident reporting and daily activity planning
• Maintain detailed, legible incident reports to support the client and authorities

Location:

St Philips Causeway, Bristol

Hours:

30 Hours and 27 Hours

Shift Pattern:

• 30 Hours – Sunday 10:00‑16:00, Monday‑Wednesday 12:00‑20:00

• 27 Hours – Thursday & Friday 11:00‑20:00, Saturday 09:00‑18:00

Hourly Rate: £13.00

• Valid SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence
• Previous retail security experience is advantageous but not required; full training will be provided
• Ability to provide a full 5‑year checkable work or schooling history and right‑to‑work documents upon interview
• Confidence in communication, both verbal and written, including providing detailed accounts of activity
• Empathy, patience, and professional conflict‑resolution skills
