Warehouse Driver (Non-CDL) Position SummaryUnder general supervision, operate company trucks to deliver products to customers.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Operate vehicle in compliance with all local, state, federal and company rules and in accordance with generally accepted practices of safe driving.
- Safely load and unload cargo as required.
- Maintain ELD logbook in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Complete vehicle inspection reports.
- Review shipping papers for nature of load and special handling requirements as necessary.
- Check load on trailer to determine if it is properly secured and safe.
- Wear safety equipment when handling materials.
- Maintain the truck in a clean, safe, and positive work environment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Have or be able to get a DOT Medical Card.
- Be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
- Perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Read a tape measure. Be able to stand for extensive periods of time.
- Be able to bend over, reach upwards or outwards, twist, turn around, and climb up and down.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean MVR with no more than one major violation within the past 5 years.
- Lift and carry heavy material up to 50 lbs; climb on and off flat bed.
- Preferably 3 years of experience driving.
- Most of your time will be spent driving and loading/unloading goods and materials.
- Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
- Generally, the job requires 50% driving, 30% walking, and 20% standing.
- May be required to work in a variety of weather conditions.
