Located in the beautiful community of Broadview Heights, Ohio, The Heights Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is committed to providing exceptional care and service to our residents while fostering a supportive and positive workplace culture. We are currently seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.
Position SummaryThe Human Resources Assistant will support the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and administrative functions. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys working with people.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with recruitment efforts, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
Process background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications.
Assist with employee benefit enrollment and related paperwork.
Support payroll and timekeeping functions as needed.
Track employee licenses, certifications, and required training.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Assist with employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and report preparation.
Support special projects and other HR-related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Previous administrative or human resources experience preferred, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
