Located in the beautiful community of Broadview Heights, Ohio, The Heights Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is committed to providing exceptional care and service to our residents while fostering a supportive and positive workplace culture. We are currently seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant will support the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and administrative functions. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys working with people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.

  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.

  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

  • Process background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications.

  • Assist with employee benefit enrollment and related paperwork.

  • Support payroll and timekeeping functions as needed.

  • Track employee licenses, certifications, and required training.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and report preparation.

  • Support special projects and other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Previous administrative or human resources experience preferred, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
