Ohio CAT is hiring a Governmental Sales & Marketing Specialist to lead and grow its presence in the Ohio territory with federal, state, county, and municipal customers. In this high-visibility role, you’ll be the face of Ohio CAT in the public sector—owning opportunities from first conversation through contract award.
What You’ll Do- Grow government accounts and uncover new equipment opportunities
- Lead bids, contracts, and cooperative purchasing programs
- Build long-term, compliant relationships with public sector customers
- Partner with Machine Sales Representatives to win together
- Representing Ohio CAT at meetings, bid openings, and industry events
- 3+ years of sales experience (heavy equipment preferred)
- Government or public sector sales experience is a strong plus
- Confidence in the Government's ability to manage long sales cycles, bids, and contracts
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
