The Heights Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an energetic, motivated, and highly resourceful Director of Business Development (Marketing) to join our leadership team!

This is a fast-paced, highly visible position for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and thinking on their feet. Healthcare is an ever-changing environment, and we are looking for someone who can adapt quickly, problem-solve, and find creative ways to keep The Heights connected within our community and referral network.

The right person for this role is outgoing, driven, organized, and comfortable taking initiative. You should be someone who sees a challenge and immediately starts looking for a solution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare marketing experience preferred

• Previous business development, marketing, admissions, or healthcare sales experience strongly preferred

• Strong relationship-building and networking skills

• Ability to be resourceful and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• Excellent communication and follow-up skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while remaining closely connected to the facility team

• Strong understanding of customer service and the importance of creating a positive experience for referral partners, residents, and families

As Director of Business Development, you will help tell the story of The Heights while developing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the healthcare community.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, senior living communities, and other referral partners

• Conduct regular outside marketing and referral-source visits

• Identify new referral opportunities and creatively develop strategies to grow census

• Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with referral partners

• Work closely with Admissions, Nursing, Administration, and other facility leaders

• Participate in community outreach, networking events, and facility events

• Track referral activity, market trends, and business development opportunities

• Help promote the facility's rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long-term care services

• Respond quickly to changes in the market and develop resourceful solutions to overcome barriers

• Serve as a positive and professional representative of The Heights throughout the community

This isn't a position where every day looks the same. Priorities can change quickly, new opportunities arise, and sometimes the best plan requires a little creativity.
