Position DetailsAs a Laborer for RAM Construction Services, you will assist in the revitalization and construction of our surrounding areas. A laborer will perform a variety of tasks that aid our skilled trade workers and help complete projects successfully.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Set‑up and clean‑up of the job site, preparing materials, staging, and other necessary tasks.
- Direct traffic at or around the job site when necessary.
- Hauling, digging, moving, and other physical duties.
- Lifting objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds.
- Assisting other skilled trade workers (caulking, waterproofing, etc.).
- Using hand tools and small power tools; employees are expected to acquire their own tools over time.
- Performing other relevant duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Prior construction experience is preferred but not required.
Some travel is required. Employees must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. RAM will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stays if applicable.
TechnologySome technology may be required; employees will receive proper training on software and equipment.
Work EnvironmentWork environments may include seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud noise, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, and proximity to traffic.
Following InstructionsAdhere to instructions from superintendents, project managers, and construction plans and blueprints.
CleanlinessMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area.
Safety ComplianceFollow all RAM health and safety regulations and ensure a safe work environment.
Physical Demands- Rarely – less than 10%
- Occasionally – up to 33%
- Frequently – up to 66%
- Continuously – 67% to 100%
