Position: Administrative Assistant for Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Technology

Lindop School District 92 is seeking an Administrative Assistant for Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Technology.

Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant will support systems of teaching and learning through organizing inventory, assisting with purchasing, and tracking annual consumable and non-consumable teaching and learning tools.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all organizational professional development hours are tracked in the Illinois State Board of Education’s Professional Development Plus portal
  • Work directly with curriculum suppliers to obtain quotes for textbooks, consumables, and assessments needed for the instructional program
  • Build and maintain a working inventory of curricular resources, including those housed online as software or apps
  • Build and maintain a working inventory of physical instructional technology resources
  • Receive, organize, and distribute materials to instructional staff
  • Obtain, inventory, and distribute materials from various suppliers as needed
  • Communicate with shipping companies to coordinate the receiving of large pallets of curricular materials
  • Support District-wide assessment cycles by reading and reviewing assessment manuals, supporting the rostering process, and communicating with staff about the cycles of required assessments
  • Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate department
  • Receive requests from instructional staff regarding instructional needs for books, materials, and manipulatives
  • Assist the Assistant Superintendent with the planning, details, and flow of professional development days
  • Edit documents for the Assistant Superintendent for spelling and grammar before they are published or sent out via electronic communication
  • Design and post slides to the website and the marquee as needed
  • Communicate with all administrators and instructional staff
  • Set up travel arrangements for Assistant Superintendent, Director of Technology, or instructional staff who are traveling for curriculum training
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Some college credit, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with a fast-paced, high-intensity working environment
  • Ability to focus and refocus during high-traffic times and with multiple interruptions
